Rebranding Seasider Testing

For this project, my team and I rebranded Brigham Young University–Hawaii's weekly Covid-19 testing center to represent the University, not an outsourced testing entity. The purpose of this rebranding was to help students, faculty, and employees to be able to recognize the testing center's Covid-19 testing efforts with BYUH's Seasider Safe campus initiative. For the rebranding, I created new signage that reflected the Seasider Safe initiative's testing efforts while keeping BYUH's purpose and integrity. I designed a new identity system for the initiative that reflected their purpose and values as well as organized and updated the initiative's website.

For the purpose of rebranding Brigham Young University–Hawaii's Covid-19 testing center, my team and I conducted baseline and post rebranding marketing research surveys using Qualtircs. The purpose of this marketing research was to see if the rebranding efforts made any impact on the general population. We performed these in-person surveys directly outside of our testing center making sure to randomly select and survey every fifth person. At the end of the surveying process, we compiled the information into a report. Because of our rebranding efforts, 74.5% of people surveyed were able to identify Brigham Young University–Hawaii as the entity that is requiring Covid testing. We were able to successfully shifts people's views on the testing center and help them become to understand that the testing center is a BYUH campus initiative.

As the worldwide pandemic hit, many companies experienced difficulties adjusting to the changing economy. Using my marketing knowledge, I have developed a marketing plan for a small hardware store that I have personally seen be affected by Covid-19 in my hometown. This five-step marketing plan will be able to help this company pivot its marketing efforts during the pandemic and be able to help its customers adjust to the current conditions as well.

I created and professionally ran an Instagram account. Through the social media and marketing strategies I learned in my college career, I was able to successfully implement many of them and create a large following. I was able to organically grow 280+ followers as well as create a community around the brand created. I built a trustworthy platform that is able to be monetized because of the high amount of interactions it has with the Instagram community. For this project, I created all of the social media content as well as a content schedule that the followers enjoy.

I helped the photographer create a logo and identity system for her business. This was able to help customers become familiar with her brand. Using UX/ UI design, I helped the small business create and organize a website tailoring to the needs of the cutomer.

For this nonprofit organization, I was able to create an identity system and website for the company which was used to create a strong brand personality. These branding efforts made it possible for the organization to have a professional identity that attracts clients and makes the organization have a trustworthy demeanor.
